(Lunch Provided), When: Saturday, September 14th, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Where: Hard Labor Creek State Park, Rutledge, GA (Driving Directions- at the Green Arrow) We need your help. Hard Labor Creek will be a big part of our 30/30 Project. It’s only 28 miles from Athens. Bill Pflueger has done a great job spearheading the effort so far. We want to give him a hand and spread the word about this fun trail system. There’s around 10 miles of trail built already with enough land to build more. We’ll be working on the Blue Trail, which will eventually become a 7 mile loop. After we finish working lunch will be provided for our volunteers courtesy of the Friends of Hard Labor Creek. For every volunteer hour logged the Friends of Hard Labor organization will donate $2 to the trail building efforts at the park. With a good turnout we can get a lot of work done and raise money for future trail building. If you want to support our 30/30 Project, this is an important workday to attend (join our Facebook Event). Please bring gloves, long pants, a water bottle/camelbak, and your bike. We will ride after we finish working and have lunch.

Jud Turpin has done a great job at Paynes Creek and could use some help getting ready for the Single Speed Championships. Paynes Creek volunteers will meet at the Campground Gate and will work until about 3pm. The plan is to repair the damage to the new trail caused by all of the rain and to cut back the overgrowth on both trails. Camping is available Friday and Saturday night for volunteers. Please email Jud Turpin if you are interested in camping. Please bring gloves, long pants, eye protection, a water bottle/camelbak, your bike, and a lunch as we will eat on the trail. If you have a leaf blower or weed trimmer, please bring it as well.
