Dogs at Dirty Sheets

I’ve been warned that there are two sets of dogs chasing people in the Chattahoochee Hills area of Georgia. This is where the popular Dirty Sheets route is. The first dogs are a pair of Pit Bulls/Pit mixes that are out to bite about half way down on Phillips Rd. Phillips is just off Dirty Sheets and Hutchinson Ferry. The person said they had to dismount their bike, put it between them and the dogs, yell loudly, and had pepper spray ready to use.

The 2nd set of dogs is on Hamilton a bit closer to Jones Ferry than Campbellton-Redwine. One is a German Shepherd that did not show much interest. The other is a very furry large black puppy (maybe 8-9 months the rider said). It looks like a cross between a husky and black bear. If you stop, it will jump up on you wanting to play. Pet it, and it calms down. It wanted attention; however, the person said that it tried to bite the front wheel several times as he rode away. He was concerned that he could get taken out by the dog or that the dog would learn to chase bikes.
